Heath species

A group of closely related species known for their fine-textured foliage and small pink, red, white or purple flowers in early spring. This group of plants is similar to Calluna vulgaris, but distinguished by longer and more loosely borne foliage and earlier flowering.

Habit:Broad-rounded, dense evergreen
Size:4-24" high
Color:Dark green
Texture:Very fine
Hardiness:Zone 6a USDA, 5a with adequate snow cover
Habitat:Europe
