Fothergilla gardenii
Dwarf fothergilla

Brush-like, apetalous, but yet showy, the white fragrant flowers are composed of a great number of stamens with white filaments and yellow anthers borne in spikes, 1-2" long in late April to Early May. The fine-textured flowers are borne 10-14 days before the leaves and have a honey fragrance.
