Fraxinus pennsylvanica
Green ash

A dark rusty brown, the pointed wide conical to ovate buds are covered with a short dense pubescence. The 1/4 " terminal buds are about as long as they are wide and are more sharp pointed than those of Fraxinus americana. The lateral buds are positioned above flat-topped deep shield-shaped leaf scars.
