Hamamelis virginiana
Common witchhazel

The leaves are similar to Hamamelis vernalis, except thinner. They are simple, obovate or elliptic with an uneven base and are 3 to 6" long, 2 to 3 1/2" wide and have a coarsely crenate-dentate margin.
