Hamamelis virginiana
Common witchhazel

Culture: A durable and adaptable plant that is tolerant of full sun to moderate shade. It prefers soils that remain moist.

No serious insect or disease problems have been noted.

Usage: A native small tree useful for shady locations as a specimen or for naturalizing. Because of its shade tolerance, it is often used near large buildings. It has attractive dark green summer foliage and good fall color.
