The 10-20" alternate leaves have an odd number (usually 11-19) of 2-5" long lanceolate-oblong leaflets with serrate edges. Both the upper and lower surface of the leaflets as well as the petioles and rachis are glandular pubescent. Most leaves terminate with a single leaflet.
