Lonicera x heckrottii
Goldflame honeysuckle

Culture: This twining vine needs a trellis, lattice or wire fence to climb and to effectively show off its flower display. Its habit is typically not dense enough to form a complete screen. Grown without a support, the plant forms a 3-4' high long broad mound of tangled growth. The plant should receive full sun to partial shade and is pH adaptable.

Occasional problems with aphids may require treatment; otherwise this is a relatively trouble-free hybrid.

Usage: Best grown as a specimen on a trellis, lattice fence or wire fence in a location where its flower display can be appreciated up close.
