Phellodendron amurense
Amur corktree

This member of Rutaceae follows the family's general leaf characteristics with its pinnately compound, opposite leaves. Each leaf is 10-15" long with 5 to 11 ovate leaflets that are 2 1/2 - 4 1/2" long and entire. The petiole base encloses the bud and the entire leaf has a "Rutaceous" or unpleasant odor when crushed.
