Picea omorika
Serbian spruce

Small, monoecious and of little interest.

The male flowers are 1/2 - 3/4" long and noticeably pink in color just prior to opening. Although interesting up-close, they are too small to produce much effect from distance.

The female cones are reddish purple and slightly larger than the males and are a miniature form of the mature cones.
