Picea pungens
Colorado spruce

Although somewhat colorful, the monoecious flowers are borne in late May to mid June, but are too small to be of interest from a distance.

The staminate flower is typically orange and 1/4 - 1/2" long.

The pistillate flower is greenish to reddish-purple and 1/2 - 1" long.
