Pinus heldreichii
Bosnian pine

Very straight and arranged in a distinctly uniform manner pointing towards the apex, the 2 1/2 - 3 1/2" sharp-pointed and stiff leaves are borne in fascicles of two, are denticulate and bear stomatal lines on two surfaces. The leaves are slightly incurved toward the branch, uniformly distributed along the branch, persistent for 5 to 6 years and have 1/2"-long leaf sheaths. The needles are somewhat similar to those of Pinus nigra but are shorter and more uniformly displayed.
