Pinus wallichiana
Himalayan mountain pine

The bold form and long, drooping needles of the Himalayan pine in the landscape makes it a welcome addition if space is available. However, care should be taken to protect it from drying winter winds.

Habit:Broadly pyramidal in youth with branches that spread horizontally in open sites and the uppermost branches ascending; pyramidal in old age, keeping lower branches to the ground in sunny sites
Size:30-50' high
Color:Slightly gray-green
Texture:Medium-fine
Hardiness:Zone 5b/6a USDA
Family:Pinaceae
