Prunus triloba var. multiplex
Double-flowering almond

Potentially extraordinary, the double pink, 1 - 1 1/2" diameter, flowers can completely cover the branches in late April. The very showy flowers are borne on the previous season's growth just before the leaves emerge. Even in lighter years, the display is impressive. The variety simplex is a single-flowered form.
