Pyrus communis
Common pear

Orange-brown to yellow-brown with spurs, the stems are covered with prominent elongated gray-tan lenticels and are slightly swollen just below the terminal bud. Most of the fruits are borne on short 1-2" fat lateral spurs. Sometimes young stems are densely pubescent and on other selections they are mostly glabrous. On some seedlings, branches can be thorny.
