Spiraea nipponica 'Snowmound'
Snowmound Nippon spirea

Small, two-scaled and valvate, the triangular shaped buds are tan in color with reddish brown tips to the scales and are just under 1/8” in length. The tips of the two scales extend slightly beyond the end of the bud and are often slightly bent off to the side.
