| Stephanandra incisa StephanandraAlternate, simple and incised, the triangular-ovate leaves are 1-2" long and deeply incised and lobed. The deep incisions can make the leaf appear 3-5-lobed, with the deepest incisions being near the leaf base. The bright green leaves have a minimal amount of short straight pubescence above and a soft pubescence on the veins below. A distinctive pair of narrow ovate and serrate stipules, 1/8 – 1/4" long, occurs at the base of each leaf, separating this genus from Spiraea. |
