Acer truncatum
Purpleblow maple

A pleasant, relatively unknown small tree with a rounded habit and attractive leaves that are purplish as they emerge in spring. Several excellent cultivars have been selected out of hybrids with Acer platanoides.

Habit:Uniformly rounded to broad-rounded with branches near the ground
Size:20 to 25' high with a short trunk
Color:Purplish in spring, dark green in summer
Texture:Medium-fine
Hardiness:Zone 4b USDA
Habitat:China - Manchuria - Korea
