Amelanchier canadensis
Shadblow serviceberry

Borne in 2-3" erect racemes in mid to late April, the flowers are an extremely showy pure white, but only last for 4 to 7 days. They appear about one week after those of A. arborea, and have short obovate petals that are only 3/16 to 5/16" long.
