Chinese fringetree

Subopposite, and elliptic to oblong-obovate, the 3-4" long leaves can be either serrulate or entire. They are a lustrous dark green with an acute to acuminate leaf apex and have a cuneate to sometimes rounded base. The leaves are most commonly entire and very glossy.
