Cornus alternifolia
Pagoda dogwood

Unusual for a dogwood, the leaves are arranged alternately along the stem and are usually clustered near the branch ends. They are elliptic in shape, entire and 2-5" long with 5-6 pairs of veins and a rounded base and acuminate apex.
