Cotoneaster adpressus
Creeping cotoneaster

Bright red to dark red and 1/4 - 1/3" in diameter, these showy pomes are ornamentally effective from August through September. They are subglobose in form, and contain two nutlets within. Adequate snow cover and appropriate cultivar selection can result in fruit that persist into winter.
