Cotoneaster horizontalis
Rock cotoneaster

Pubescent and stiff, these slightly ascending branches often arch near their ends. The secondary branches form an interesting highly branched fish-bone pattern. The reddish purple color of the young stems is masked by the dense pubescence. Older stems become brown and gray fissured and glabrous.
