Cotoneaster lucidus
Hedge cotoneaster

Alternate and ranging from 3/4 to 2" long, these elliptic to broad-elliptic leaves have a shiny dark green upper surface and a slightly pubescent whitish-green underside. The new leaves in spring are extremely glossy. The glossy leaves of this species can easily be distinguished from the more dull leaves of Cotoneaster multiflorus.
