Leucothoe fontanisiana
Drooping leucothoe

An elegant display of delicate, 1/4"-long, urn-shaped, fragrant, white flowers appears in mid-May. They are borne in 3" drooping racemes under the foliage, but still manage to make a moderate display. The corolla is bulbous at the base narrowing at the neck and reflexed with 5 lobes at the apex.
