Ligustrum vulgare
Common privet

Glossy black and very persistent, the oval-rounded drupes are 1/4 - 1/3" long, and produced in terminal panicles in late September, persisting through winter into spring. The fruit are more glossy and persistent than those of Ligustrum amurense.
