Lonicera fragrantissima
Winter honeysuckle

Ovate, imbricate and greenish brown turning tan-brown, the 1/4" buds are slightly pubescent when formed, becoming glabrous in winter. The early opening buds are pink inside the bud scales as they open. The buds are often accompanied by several dry papery stipules.
