Lonicera japonica
Japanese honeysuckle

Opposite, simple and semi-evergreen, the oblong-ovate leaves are dark glossy green, 1 1/4 to 3" long and entire with ciliate hairs on the margin. The leaves have a rounded to subcordate base, an acute or short acuminate apex and a short petiole. The young leaves are pubescent on both sides. In mild winters or with adequate snow cover, some leaves may remain on the plant all winter.
