Lonicera japonica
Japanese honeysuckle

The flowers transition from an initial white to yellow as they mature. The opening flowers may have a tinge of pink or purple before turning fully white. They are extremely fragrant and borne from June through October. On a calm summer evening, the enticingly pleasant fragrance can drift quite a distance. The flowers are 1 1/4 - 1 1/2" long with one-half their length formed into a corolla and the other half into a 4-parted limb opposing a single limb. Five very long stamens extend beyond the petals.
