Magnolia denudata
Yulan magnolia

A small to medium deciduous tree from China cultivated for its fragrant and showy creamy-white flowers that open very early in the season. The name of this species was formerly listed as Magnolia heptapeta, and frequent name changes seems to have provided much entertainment to botanists.
