Production of heavy and fragrant displays of bright white to light pink fine-textured flowers in early spring have made this small tree a very popular landscape plant.

Habit:Rounded to rounded-pyramidal small tree or large shrub, dense, uniform
Size:15-20' high
Color:Medium-dark green
Texture:Medium-fine
Hardiness:Zone 4b USDA
Habitat:Japan, although the taxonomic placement of this species seems to be forever changing; it also listed as M. kobus var. stellata
