Pinus flexilis
Limber pine

Minutely pubescent and gray-green at first, becoming glabrous and silver-gray with age. They are extremely tough and flexible, and can often be tied into a knot, hence the names, flexilis and limber. Stem flexibility should not be used as a routine identification characteristic, due to the potential for damage to the stems, expecially when less flexible in cold weather.
