Pinus resinosa
Red pine

Monoecious, occurring in mid-May to early June.

Small pinkish brown flowers are borne in 1" cylindrical clusters near the ends of the growing shoots.

Resembling a miniature cone, the female flowers are 1/2" long, globular, reddish-purple, and clustered near the ends of the upper branches.
