Prunus glandulosa
Dwarf flowering almond

Although the flowers can be either pink or white, single or double, the vast majority of plants in the trade bear double pink flowers. They are commonly 1/2 - 3/4" in diameter with numerous light pink petals borne in late April to early May. The showy flowers are about the only reason to grow this otherwise drab species.
