Prunus maackii
Amur chokecherry

A medium sized tree prized for its highly glossy amber to copper colored bark with prominent horizontal lenticels. It performs best in cool climates and has problems with borers in warm areas.

Habit:Rounded to slightly broad-rounded, sometimes irregular and often branching low
Size:30-45' high
Color:Medium green with copper colored bark
Texture:Medium-fine
Hardiness:Zone 3b USDA
Habitat:Korea and Manchuria
