Alternate and pinnately compound, the fine-textured leaves of this species bear 5-13 leaflets, each oval to obovate or elliptic and 1/4 - 3/4" long. They are finely serrate, folded slightly along the midrib and medium green with no pubescence above and only very fine pubescence on the veins below when young.
