Borne in nearly flat-topped clusters of 1-3" in diameter, the small, 1/4", 5-petaled flowers are perfect and vary from light pink to deep pink and even bright white. They are borne on new wood from mid June though mid to late July or even August on some cultivars. The petals are slightly shorter than the numerous white stamens that give the flowers a fuzzy appearance.
