Running serviceberry

Alternate, simple and serrulate, the leaves of this species are usually elliptic in shape to occasionally slightly obovate or even suborbicular. The leaves are 3/4 to 2" in length and have serrulate margins on the upper two-thirds of the blade. New leaves emerge with dense white pubescence below, but become glabrous as they mature.
