Cotoneaster horizontalis
Rock cotoneaster

Smaller than most of the other cotoneaster fruit, these glossy, bright red pomes are only 1/5 to 1/4" in diameter and contain 3 seeds. Appearing in late August, they persist through October and put on a rather showy display when borne in quantity.
