The opposite, simple, entire, ovate-oblong, 1 to 2 1/4" long entire leaves are bluish green, very finely yellow dotted and deciduous. The midvein is quite prominent and impressed on most Hypericum species with very indistinct lateral veins. Partially developed new leaves for next season are 1/4" long and borne at the nodes all winter long.
