Hypericum frondosum
Golden St. John's wort

A nice summer feature, the bright yellow flowers are 1 to 2" in diameter, borne starting in late June, lasting through July. The flowers are comprised of 5 yellow obovate petals subtending the mass of yellow stamens. The yellow flowers contrast nicely with the dark blue-green foliage. The flowers are quite attractive to bees.
