The 1/4" showy red drupes are bright and shiny, but are produced only on female cultivars when male pollinators are present. Usually only a few male pollinators are necessary in a larger female planting. A ratio of 1 male to every 3-4 females should give excellent pollination. I have observed plantings with considerably fewer pollinators that still produced excellent fruit displays.
