Ilex x meserveae
Meserve holly

Culture: This cultivar can have substantial winter damage in the Midwest in open, dry and exposed locations above the snowline. It does best in full sun moist, acidic soils, with winter protection from wind to reduce cold injury. The 'Blue Boy'/'Blue Girl' and Angel series of cultivars are less cold hardy than the Prince/Princess series.

Other than its problems with winter damage, this is a relatively trouble-free group of cultivars.
