Magnolia tripetala
Umbrella magnolia

Oblong-ovate and 3-4" long, the reddish pink aggregates of follicles split open to reveal red seeds in fall. Borne at the ends of the stems above the umbrella-like clusters of leaves, the fruits are slightly showy.
