Pinus flexilis
Limber pine

Native to the Rocky Mountains, this medium to sometimes large-sized pine makes an excellent landscape plant because of its adaptability to dry and exposed sites. The light bluish green glaucous form, 'Glauca', is the most common representative of this species in the trade.

Habit:Pyramidal in youth and middle age, becoming broad pyramidal and flat-topped at maturity; trunk often crooked
Size:40-70' high
Color:Dark green on the species, lighter bluish green on the more common glaucous forms
Texture:Medium-fine
Hardiness:Zone 4b USDA
Habitat:Alberta, Canada - New Mexico - California - Idaho
Family:Pinaceae
