Prunus persica

Prunus persica
Common peach

Alternate, simple, and elliptic-lanceolate to oblong-lanceolate, the finely serrate, 3-6" leaves are narrow compared to many Prunus spp.. The long narrow leaves hang somewhat pendulous providing an interesting effect. The glossy and glabrous leaves have a long acuminate apex, a cuneate base and also have a glandular petiole. They are slightly folded along the midrib.
