Common peach

White, pink, or red and single, semi-double or double, the 1 - 1 1/2" diameter showy flowers occur before leaves in mid April in central Illinois. Selections with variegated flowers also exist. The flowers on any peach can easily be injured by spring frosts or cold winter temperatures. They are especially susceptible to late winter or early spring warm periods followed by a cold temperatures.
