Running serviceberry

One of the few low-growing, broad-rounded serviceberries, this is an excellent native form that forms large clumps of erect stems. Like the other members of its genus, it too has showy white flowers, edible fruit, and excellent fall color.

Habit:Broad-rounded, stoloniferous, with erect stems
Size:4-6' high
Color:Dark green, turning yellow to orangish-red to scarlet in autumn
Texture:Medium-fine
Hardiness:Zone 4a USDA
Habitat:Newfoundland - Maine - Virginia
